The story of Hyundai Heavy Industries is one of challenges, pioneering, and trust in the future. We have a solid history in the heavy industry fields which can be traced back to an empty stretch of beach in 1972, where we held the groundbreaking for our first shipyard. Since that beginning we have developed into an integrated heavy industries company with six divisions: Shipbuilding, Offshore & Engineering, Industrial Plant & Engineering, Engine & Machinery, Electro Electric Systems, and Construction Equipment.
